Rufus the Bear

Rufus the Bear was designed by a mother whose son was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes eight years ago. She wanted her son to know he was not alone and that he is loved for being who he is. To the bears' thighs, buttocks, stomach and arms she sewed coloured patches for injection sites and hearts on the bear's paws showing finger prick sites.
Rufus the Bear has provided comfort to thousands of children with type 1 (juvenile) diabetes in Australia and around the world. They are a perfect gift for a child with juvenile diabetes. |
